About

Biography

Hannah Stoll, born in Munich, completed her Abitur (school leaving examination) at an artistic high school on, among other things, her main instrument at the time, the piano. She began playing the saxophone while still at school, but only later concentrated more on the saxophone. Formative for this was a joint performance with the ensemble "Blechschaden" of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.

Hannah Stoll was an alto saxophonist in the big band of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich under the direction of Prof. Joe Viera and was invited to a working period of the Youth Jazz Orchestra of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bajazzo) in 2004. Among her most important saxophone teachers are Ignaz Dinné, Uwe Steinmetz, Detlef Bensmann and Johannes Ernst.
